ITS Maintenance Window on May 4-5, 2019

The following maintenance work will be carried out on May 4-5, 2019 (this Saturday and Sunday) and the major services to be affected include:

  1. Cisco IP phone (with numbers 3917-xxxx, 3910-2xxx and 3910-3xxx): Sat 11:00 pm - Sun 2:00 am;
  2. HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS): Sun midnight - 6:00 pm; and
  3. HKU Portal and HKU Central Authentication Services: Sun 10:05 am - 10:30 am

Service to be affected

May 4-5, 2019 (Sat-Sun) 11:00 pm (Sat) - 2:00 am (Sun) Cisco IP phone server for firmware upgrade All IP phones (with numbers 3917-xxxx, 3910-2xxx and 3910-3xxx) will experience a few short interruptions during the maintenance period where on-going calls may be dropped.
May 5, 2019 (Sun) Midnight - 6:00 pm HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS) HKUEMS will be suspended.
10:05 am - 10:30 am Servers supporting the HKU Central Authentication Service using HKU Portal UID/PIN to authenticate Access to HKU Portal and all applications using HKU Portal UID/PIN to authenticate will experience a 1-minute service interruption.
