ITS Maintenance Window on June 4-5, 2016

The following maintenance will be carried out on Jun 4-5, 2016 (this Saturday and Sunday) and among them, the major affected services include:

  1. HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS): Saturday 6:00 pm - 7:00am next day
  2. All in-house developed applications under HKU Portal: Saturday 10:30 pm - midnight
  3. Network services in Main Campus: Sunday noon - 8:00 pm

HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS)

HKUEMS will be suspended.

10:30 pm - midnight

Central servers supporting HKU Portal applications for OS patch update

All in-house developed applications under HKU Portal will be inaccessible (note: applications under Student Information System and Human Capital Management System will not be affected).

11:00 pm - 7:00 am next day

IP phones system (phone no.: 3917 xxxx) for hardware replacement

IP phones and voicemail service will be interrupted intermittently during the maintenance period, each in less than 30 seconds.

June 5, 2016

Noon - 8:00 pm

Internet router supporting Main Campus for resiliency drill

Network services at Main Campus may have up to 8 short interruptions, each in less than 15 minutes.
