1. The e-Portolio system will undergo maintenance from 8 am to noon on August 22, 2021 (Sunday)
for OS patching. Access to e-Portfolio System will experience a 15-minute interruption.
Please do not access this service during the affected period.

2. The WiFi service will NOT be affected during maintenance work from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Aug 22,2021 (Sunday)
However, after the certificate is renewed, users will be prompted to accept the new certificate ONCE when they use the WiFi SSIDs - HKU and eduroam.
Please accept the new certificate when prompts to continue using the WiFi service.

Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) will undergo system upgrade from version 3.8.2+ to 3.9.6. Access to Moodle will be suspended during the period of system upgrade:

Time: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

Teachers are reminded not to set Moodle activity (e.g. Assignment, Quiz) due date on 25 July 2021.

2021/07/01 08:00 (Thursday) - 2021/07/01 17:00 (Thursday) - Lecture Capture Service (Panopto) upgrade to version 10.6 on 1-July-2021

Lecture Capture Service (Panopto) will undergo system upgrade from version 8.6 to 10.6 and access to Panopto will be suspended during the period of system upgrade as follow:

From: 8AM, July 1, 2021(Thursday)
To: 5PM, July 1, 2021 (Thursday)

After the system upgrade, all teacher PCs in the centrally administered classrooms will be upgraded with the latest Panopto Recorder software. Teachers can also install the new Panopto Recorder software in their PCs for video recording and editing. There will be a scheduled system maintenance for the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm on June 27, 2021 (Sunday).

Affected Services:
All the functions supported by the HCMS will be temporarily unavailable.

Staff members can access other HKU Staff Portal functions as usual during the maintenance period.
