Conversion of the Coffee Corner to the "Quick Access Corner" in the Chi Wah Learning Commons

On 9 December 2015, Learning Environment Services (LES) completed the redevelopment of the “Coffee Corner” in the Chi Wah Learning Commons to provide new and additional facilities to students.  The new space, the “Quick Access Corner”, has been arranged to provide a number of “Short Stay” PCs for students who simply want to quickly check email, browse the internet, or print documents, etc.  Time on these PCs has been limited to ensure a quick turnover and that PCs are available for students as they need them.  6 PCs are limited to 20 minutes usage and a further 10 PCs are limited to 1 hour.  These PCs are not bookable and are available for “drop in” use only.  The A3 and A4 scanners have also been relocated to the Quick Access Corner.  This new facility is located close to the LES Information Desk where technical support will be readily available.
