Information Security Awareness Week 2015/16 (November 9-13, 2015)

We are living in a world that is more connected than before, and access to Internet is a part of our daily life.  While information technology plays an indispensable role in our daily life, do you know the probable Information Security (“IS”) risks associated if we are not using the networked devices properly?

To raise the awareness of University staff and students on information security, ITS, in collaboration with the University’s Data Protection Officer and the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) of HKSAR Government, will organize a series of events in the week of November 9-13, 2015 under the “Information Security Awareness Week 2015/16”.

During the week, seminars, quiz and exhibition will be organized to highlight and promote the importance of information security and protection of personal data.  Participants obtaining full marks in the quiz will be awarded with a souvenir on a first-come-first-served basis.  In conjunction with the quiz, there will be a Crypto Challenge Game to test participants’ IQ in solving crypto quiz.  An IS Awareness Contest will also be organized for staff and students to participate.
