Termination of Email Forwarding Function for HKUSUA.HKU.HK Accounts

The central computer server HKUSUA.hku.hk, which was used as an email server, was retired two years ago in April 2011.  To facilitate a smooth service transition, an email forwarding function was then set up to enable HKUSUA users to continue receiving emails sent to their HKUSUA accounts so that they could have more time to inform their contacts of change of email addresses from UID@hkusua.hku.hk to UID@hku.hk.

The email forwarding function for HKUSUA users will be stopped with effect from July 2, 2013; and the system will be shut down right afterwards.  In other words, emails sent to UID@hkusua.hku.hk will NOT be delivered to users’ mailbox UID@hku.hk (or their designated forwarding email address) after July 2, 2013.  We have sent emails to remind HKUSUA account holders to notify their contacts of their new addresses as soon as possible if they haven’t done so.

HKUCC1 users with HKUSUA account who are using Microsoft Outlook may set up an auto-reply message so that senders of emails to their @hkusua.hku.hk accounts will be notified of the change in email addresses.
