Information Security Awareness Promotion Campaign (November 1-5, 2010)
The selling of personal data by Octopus Holdings Limited and the privacy leakage of Facebook are hot topics in information security. To promote the University community's awareness on information security, we are going to organize a series of promotional activities. The theme for the coming series is on "Data Handling in University". It aims to promote the best practices in data handling and the latest tips to prevent data leakage while facing the ever-changing threats and malicious ways in stealing personal data.
An exhibition booth will be set up at Run Run Shaw Podium to display information on data handling and proper classification. Tips will be provided on how to protect your personal information when using public computers, USB drives, social networking websites, etc. Staff and students can also participate in the quiz at the booth and small souvenirs will be given for those who answer correctly as a kind of encouragement. Please come and visit our booth when you come nearby.
