Why can’t I connect to WiFi after I change my HKU Portal PIN?

If your PIN is saved in your mobile devices, you have to update your new PIN at your devices before you can connect to HKU WiFi.  Please follow the steps below to remove the cached PIN on your mobile devices:

For Windows 10:

  1. Click Start button.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Click Network & Internet.
  4. Select Wi-Fi in the left pane and choose Manage Wi-Fi settings on the right.
  5. Under Manage known networks, select the specific WiFi network (e.g. HKU).
  6. Click Forget button.

For iPhone/iPad:

  1. Select Settings on the main menu. 
  2. Select Wi-Fi > HKU > tap ios_info_icon01 button.
  3. Tap Forget This Network.
  4. Tap Forget.

For Android:

  1. Select Settings on the main menu.
  2. Select Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the specific WiFi network (e.g. HKU).
  4. Choose Forget.

For Mac OS X:

  1. In the apple menu, select System Preferences.
  2. Choose Network.
  3. Select Wi-Fi and click Advanced.
  4. Under Preferred Networks, select HKU.
  5. Click “-” button to remove HKU.

For BlackBerry:

  1. Select Manage Connection on the main menu.
  2. Turn Wi-Fi to On.
  3. Select Set Up Wi-Fi Network > Next > Scan for Networks > HKU (saved).
  4. Navigate to User password and change it to your HKU Portal PIN.
  5. Click Save > Next > OK > Finish.
