Procedure to Enable SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) on POP/IMAP for Staff Email

POP

Outlook

  1. Click the Windows icon  windows logo icon > click   search icon> type Control Panel > press Enter.

  2. Click User Accounts > Mail (Microsoft outlook).

  3. Click Email Accounts… .

  4. Click Change….

  5. Click More Settings… and Next.

  6. Click the tab Advanced and under “Incoming server (POP3)”, check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS).

Thunderbird

  1. Right click the account name and click Settings.

  2. Click Server Settings, check Port no. is 995 and select SSL/TLS under Connection security.

Apple Mail

  1. Go to Mail and click Preferences.

  2. Under Accounts tab, click Server Settings.

  3. Under Incoming Mail Server (POP), uncheck Automatically manage connection settings.

  4. Enter 995 under Port and click Use TLS/SSL.

iOS

  1. Open Settings and go to Mail.

  2. Select Account.

  3. Click Advanced.

  4. Turn on Use SSL.

Android

  1. ap Settings.

  2. Go to Accounts and backup.

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Tap Email Accounts > Account Settings > Incoming Settings.

  5. Change Security type to SSL/TLS.

IMAP

Outlook
